Ladies Chorus

  • No 1 Opening Chorus – p20 final note on first ‘entrancing’ (B)
  • No 2 Invocation from p25 – music speeds up (song is happy)
  • No 4 Exit of Fairies p30 – words and rhythms
  • Finale Act 1 p92 ‘fairies’ entrance – sung ‘staccato’
  • No 11 (Act 2) – pp168/169 – ‘Aia-iah! Aia-iah etc’ rhythms in section F are slightly different from section D
  • No 12 Finale – words - happy and bouncy!!!!!!!!!

Gents Chorus

  • No 6 Entrance & March of Peers – p38 section D for tenors section K pp45/46 two ‘bugle’ calls then change to ‘tan-ta-ra ta ta (x5) then five ‘ta’ – p47 section L ‘tan-ta – ra’ (x7) then move up scale on ‘ra,ra,ra,ra!
  • No 8 Trio & Chorus of peers – Section B pp56/57 – music and words – p62 music words and watch me!! NB top of p62 tenors sing the same as Tolloller
  • No 10 Chorus of peers and song p67 pause notes on ‘Ah, Blue’ we follow Tolloller
  • No 11 pp69/70 words and music – it is sung ‘softly’ – p72 watch me for entrance – sung very loudly with energy!!
  • Finale Act 1 – p106 – ‘gone’ is held on for 5 counts revise words after this ‘You’re aware, madam...’ – section F p108 chorus responses sung very softly – p115 watch for entrance – tenor note is same as chord from orchestra (G flat)
  • No 12 Finale – words - happy and bouncy!!!!!!!!!
