Judith Turner

Judith was born in Edinburgh: however, she grew up in Dunfermline, and was introduced to G&S at a very early age by her father, Alan Turner, who has had extensive involvement with Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy G&S Societies.

Despite this, and having a love for opera and G&S, Judith did not start singing until 1998, when she joined the chorus of Edinburgh University Savoy Opera Group for their Fringe production of Trial by Jury.

Having been bitten by the performing bug, following this, she joined Edinburgh Grand Opera, where she stayed for three years, and performed as part of the chorus in Cavalleria Rusticana, I Pagliacci, Prince Igor, and The Pearl Fishers. She has since performed with Alloa Musical Players in Orpheus in the Underworld, and Calamity Jane, and most recently with Stirling University Choir, performing Messiah, and Petite Messe Solennelle .

Currently living in Clackmannanshire (though desperately attempting to escape to the country, hopefully in 2007!) with her fiancé of four and a half years, Garry Taylor, their dog Ronan and cat Pooky. For her sins she works as a Police Officer at Alloa.

When Judith is not singing and has escaped from work, she can be found climbing/running on the side of a mountain somewhere with Garry and their dog, dangling on the end of a helicopter as part of her mountain rescue training, or riding her Harley-Davidson motorbike.
